Installation Technician – Hot & Cold Aisle Containment

About the role

Subzero Engineering is looking for skilled Installation Technicians to deploy Hot and Cold Aisle Containment systems in mission‑critical data centers across North America. The role combines hands‑on mechanical work with customer‑focused service in fast‑paced environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install containment doors, roof systems, panels and related components in data‑center environments.
• Measure, cut, assemble and secure materials such as aluminum, steel, glass and plastic.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings and design specifications to follow multi‑step installation instructions.
• Troubleshoot field challenges and assist in resolving installation issues.
• Perform inspections, routine maintenance and submit accurate expense reports.
• Maintain strict quality standards, confidentiality and safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Represent Subzero professionally on customer sites and mentor new installers as needed.
• Travel extensively across North America while complying with all safety and security requirements.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of experience in construction, installation, field service, assembly, mechanical or maintenance roles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Eligibility to pass background and drug screening checks.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently and maintain required travel documentation.
