About the role

Terrestris is seeking a Social and Digital Media Specialist to support Commander, Naval Surface Group, Middle Pacific (COMNAVSURFGRU MIDPAC) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor‑Hickam. The role focuses on executing a comprehensive digital media strategy that enhances the command’s online presence while adhering to Navy messaging guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Fleet Forces Command to develop and implement a digital media strategy aligned with COMNAVSURFGRU MIDPAC objectives.
• Create and publish engaging multimedia content (videos, graphics, articles, infographics) for diverse audiences.
• Manage and update social media platforms, ensuring consistent, high‑quality communication.
• Monitor audience engagement, run contests or live sessions, and respond to community interactions.
• Analyze performance metrics to refine strategies and report insights.
• Ensure all digital communications comply with Navy directives and security requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in social media management and digital content creation, preferably within a government or defense environment.
• Strong understanding of Navy messaging standards and compliance protocols.
• Ability to work both on‑shore and on‑ship as directed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
