Social Media Coordinator & Strategist (Remote, Kenya)

About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator and Strategist to join a fast‑paced, fully remote digital media team. Based in Kenya, you will manage daily content flow across major platforms, ensuring timely, engaging posts that align with brand standards while supporting broader social strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and publish daily content on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including breaking news, evergreen, and high‑performing recirculated posts.
• Collaborate with social media and editorial teams to maintain accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
• Adapt publishing plans quickly in response to breaking news, trending topics, and platform updates.
• Write concise, engaging captions that encourage interaction while preserving brand voice.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to improve content strategy, reach, and engagement.
• Utilise scheduling, media library, and content management tools for tagging, organizing, and retrieving assets.
• Identify opportunities to optimise publishing practices and audience engagement.

Required profile

• Strong organisational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple publishing tasks in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent written communication skills for crafting concise social copy.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours for breaking news or special events.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote, desktop‑based setting.
