Software Support Engineer – Remote

About the role

You will act as the critical bridge between Boost Technology's engineering team and its African operations, troubleshooting technical issues and delivering production code fixes in Python and SQL. This remote position supports thousands of informal retailers across Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Tri­age, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems, identifying root causes in the codebase.
• Develop and ship production‑ready fixes, tests, and platform enhancements using Python (Flask) and PostgreSQL.
• Own the QA and testing pipeline by building automated test suites that prevent regressions and ensure reliability.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in an engineering, product, or technical‑support role, preferably in a fast‑paced startup.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python (Flask) and SQL (PostgreSQL) with a strong desire to dive into code and AWS infrastructure.
• Excellent communicator able to translate technical requirements for non‑technical stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
