Sourcing Team Lead

About the role

A highly motivated and results-driven Sourcing Team Lead is sought to oversee the daily operations of a Sourcing Team in Nairobi. The role drives sourcing performance, ensures high-quality candidate pipelines, improves sourcing effectiveness and coaches and guides Sourcers supporting several recruitment initiatives. It is a full-time, on-site position, Monday to Friday, with two possible schedules (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST).

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Sourcing Team.
• Monitor team performance so that sourcing goals, quality standards and delivery timelines are met.
• Assign and track daily and weekly sourcing targets for team members.
• Ensure sourcing strategies support high-volume and priority hiring initiatives.
• Analyze sourcing metrics such as candidate conversion rates, sourcing volume, time-to-submission, pipeline health and productivity trends.
• Coach and develop Sourcers in Boolean search, advanced sourcing methods, candidate engagement, and ATS and CRM best practices.
• Act as the main escalation point for sourcing issues and partner with Talent Acquisition teams to resolve them.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, processes and sourcing standards, and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, talent sourcing or recruitment operations.
• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising sourcing or recruiting teams.
• Strong understanding of sourcing strategies for high-volume recruiting and experience building candidate pipelines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet performance targets.
• Excellent verbal and written English at C1 level or higher.
• Preferred: experience in staffing, RPO, BPO or high-growth recruitment, and experience with large-scale recruiting initiatives.
