Stores and Inventory Assistant

About the role

The Stores and Inventory Assistant will support daily store operations and inventory management for Burhani Engineers Limited. The role involves receiving and dispatching materials, maintaining accurate records in both physical stock and the ERP system, and ensuring smooth material flow to meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inventory checks and update stock records in liaison with the Inventory Officer.
• Maintain accurate inventory data in physical stores and the ERP system.
• Arrange, label, and organize materials for easy retrieval and visual control.
• Support FIFO and 5S best practices in inventory handling.
• Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantity and quality against delivery documents.
• Prepare, package, and document materials for dispatch and coordinate with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams.
• Liaise with the procurement team to generate purchase orders and monitor order progress.
• Generate inventory reports, conduct regular stocktaking, and reconcile physical stock with ERP records.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct daily inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
• Experience receiving, inspecting, and dispatching goods safely.
• Capability to coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in regular stocktaking and reconciling physical stock with system data.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of FIFO and 5S inventory practices.
• Material handling using manual or mechanical equipment.
