Stores In-Charge – Dairy & Beverage Industry

About the role

The Stores In-Charge will lead the receipt, storage, preservation, issuance and reconciliation of all inventory for a dairy and beverage manufacturing plant. This role ensures accurate records, strong warehouse controls, food‑safety compliance and timely material availability for production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including receipt, handling, picking and issuance of raw materials, packaging, spares and consumables.
• Maintain proper storage locations, bin discipline, segregation of hazardous and quarantine stock, and 5S housekeeping standards.
• Receive materials against purchase orders, verify quantities, packaging condition, batch/lot numbers and expiry dates, and record goods receipt in SAP/ERP.
• Ensure storage conditions meet temperature, humidity and hygiene requirements and protect food‑grade materials from contamination.
• Implement FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) for shelf‑life items and FIFO where applicable; monitor ageing stock and prepare near‑expiry reports.
• Issue materials only against approved requisitions or production orders, verifying accuracy before release.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance for inspection and release of food‑grade materials.
• Maintain complete batch traceability and ensure expired or obsolete items are blocked in the system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in store or warehouse management within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with FEFO/FIFO principles and food‑safety standards.
• Ability to work with SAP/ERP for inventory transactions and reporting.
• Experience handling dairy and beverage raw materials and packaging supplies.
