Supply Chain Coordinator – Procurement Specialist

About the role

World Vision Kenya is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to manage procurement activities for goods and services in line with established policies and procedures. The role ensures high standards of integrity, accountability and supports the organization’s mission to serve vulnerable children. The position is office‑based with occasional field travel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and advise on procurement matters, resolve issues affecting requestors and communities, and identify alternative supply sources.
• Execute strategic sourcing, including market assessments, supplier pre‑qualification, RFQ/RFP processes, negotiations and contract management.
• Manage purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, monitor changes, and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Collect and analyse spend data, conduct spend analysis, and prepare reports for procurement committees.
• Maintain supplier records, monitor performance, and address contract‑related issues.
• Provide training and capacity building for internal staff and partner organisations on procurement policies and systems.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Procurement or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably within an INGO.
• Member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
• High professional ethics, strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to Christian values.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for procurement.
