Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will manage procurement and logistics for DRC’s Mandera programme in Kenya. The role ensures all activities comply with donor regulations and DRC guidelines, supports the Finance & Administration team, and builds capacity within the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Procure materials and equipment in a cost‑effective, transparent manner following DRC and donor policies.
• Process purchase requisitions using Microsoft Dynamics ERP from request to receipt.
• Serve as the main liaison with suppliers, creating realistic delivery schedules and monitoring performance.
• Track purchase requests, orders, RFQs and ITBs throughout the procurement cycle.
• Maintain and share procurement trackers with the Supply Chain Coordinator.
• Prepare RFQ, ITB documents and tender committee reports.
• Assist in drafting contracts and contract amendments.
• Register new suppliers, ensuring compliance with code of conduct and documentation requirements.
• Facilitate supplier pre‑qualification and strategic sourcing for frequently purchased items.
• Oversee fleet and transport management, as well as assets warehouse and stores in the field office.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings.
• Strong knowledge of donor procurement rules and DRC guidelines.
• Ability to work with ERP systems and manage detailed procurement records.
• Analytical and organizational skills to advise finance and administration teams.
• Capacity to provide technical support and training to programme staff.
