Support Services Manager (6‑month secondment)

About the role

The Support Services Manager will be seconded for six months to Kiptapkei Environmental CBO (KTK) to establish, strengthen and manage finance, human resources, administration and compliance functions. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on support to ensure robust financial controls, timely reporting, effective payroll and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for financial management, including budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring, bank reconciliations and financial planning.
• Drive implementation of finance policies, internal controls and donor compliance requirements.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to Save the Children and other stakeholders.
• Oversee audit preparation, implement audit recommendations and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Manage HR and administration processes, including payroll administration and performance management systems.
• Mentor and coach local staff, transferring skills to ensure sustainable, independent operations.
• Coordinate with KTK’s banks, statutory bodies, suppliers and Save the Children teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance and administration within NGOs or similar organisations.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, internal controls and audit processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local staff and external partners.
• Excellent communication and capacity‑building skills.
