About the role
We are seeking a motivated Swahili‑speaking Business Development Officer to lead our client relations team, adapt global sales strategies to regional markets, and drive new growth opportunities. The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership to ensure lead generation, client activation, and retention are executed effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Support market penetration and expansion strategies to generate high‑quality leads.
- Oversee smooth onboarding, converting leads into active clients and nurturing existing relationships.
- Identify, evaluate, and propose new business development opportunities.
- Test and scale innovative approaches for lead generation, activation, and retention.
- Prepare performance reports, market analyses, and client feedback summaries.
- Motivate, train, and monitor the client relations team to meet targets.
- Set clear goals, provide ongoing support, and recognize achievements.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to build professional relationships.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align efforts.
- Act as liaison between global leadership and local teams, ensuring consistent messaging.
Required profile
- Degree in a business‑related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, including team management.
- Fluency in Swahili and English with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Dynamic, innovative, target‑oriented mindset.
- Strong business acumen, integrity, and reliability.
- Good understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
