Tax Associate

About the role

Platcorp Group is seeking a Tax Associate to oversee and optimise tax processes across its associate companies. The role involves ensuring compliance with tax legislation, providing strategic tax advice, and supporting internal teams with training and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file quarterly tax returns (income tax, VAT, excise, etc.) for subsidiaries and maintain a filing tracker.
• Monitor changes in tax laws to minimise compliance risks.
• Deliver proactive tax planning advice and analyse the tax impact of new business initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance and legal teams to integrate tax considerations into decision‑making.
• Conduct training sessions and develop internal tax guidelines.
• Identify tax risks, propose mitigation strategies, and implement internal controls.
• Research tax regulations and industry trends to provide guidance on complex issues.
• Design and maintain a centralised database for tax information and coordination with external consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA or KESRA certification is a plus.
• 2‑4 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably in an audit‑firm tax department.
