Teaching Assistant (Primary School) – Part Time

About the role

Farmilo Primary School & Nursery is seeking a part‑time Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated team from September 2026. You will work within a supportive environment to help pupils, particularly those with special educational needs, achieve academic progress and engage fully in school life.

Key responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
• Assist pupils with special educational needs to ensure they can participate and succeed.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support as directed.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers and support staff.

Required profile

• Commitment to the school’s ethos and safeguarding policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check and reference verification.
• Flexibility to work term‑time only (17.5 hours per week).

Required skills

• None specified beyond general teaching assistant competencies.
