Technical Assistance – Performance Management

About the role

The Technical Assistance Performance Management role provides day‑to‑day technical oversight and coordination for performance management across three sub‑counties, embedding Living Goods’ TA model within county health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support adoption of supervision and performance management frameworks aligned with government structures.
• Coordinate development, tracking and review of Improvement Operational Plans (IOPs) to address performance gaps.
• Facilitate joint supervision visits and performance review meetings with CHMTs and SCHMTs.
• Strengthen data quality and reporting across e‑CHIS, DHIS2 and AfyaBI, leading regular DQAs and workflow refinements.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Provide training, mentorship and technical coaching to CHMTs, SCHMTs and CHAs on data‑driven performance management.
• Promote risk management, compliance with safeguarding, anti‑fraud and governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in community health, health systems strengthening or public health.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in health systems performance management.
• Strong facilitation, coaching and relationship‑management skills.
• Ability to work across cultural and political contexts.

Required skills

• Experience with e‑CHIS, DHIS2 and AfyaBI data systems.
• Data quality assessment and validation.
• Performance dashboard development and digital tool rollout.
• Analytical skills for data‑driven decision‑making.
