About the role
Peace Winds Japan seeks an experienced technical trainer to deliver a five‑day, hands‑on skill‑upgrading program for eight of its technicians in Dadaab, Kenya. The consultant will design and implement training covering mechanical and electrical systems of light and heavy vehicles as well as plant operations such as hybrid borehole pumps and solar power equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Design a tailored curriculum that addresses mechanical and electrical aspects of specified vehicle and plant systems.
- Conduct practical, on‑site training sessions at the PWJ Dadaab office.
- Provide training materials, including manuals, diagnostic charts, and guides.
- Carry out pre‑ and post‑training assessments and issue certificates of completion.
- Submit a final report summarising outcomes, participant performance, and recommendations.
Required profile
- Proven experience delivering technical training for vehicle maintenance and plant systems.
- Ability to work directly with technicians in a field environment.
- Strong communication skills in English.
