About the role
The Department of Art and Design at Maseno University is seeking a Grade Six Technician to support teaching and research activities. The role involves preparing materials, conducting laboratory sessions, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment for undergraduate students.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and prepare teaching materials for laboratory sessions.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and laboratory work for undergraduate students.
- Participate in research activities within the laboratory.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, glassware, and plasticware in good order.
- Keep laboratories and workshops clean, tidy, and safely organized.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and logs.
- Receive, process, and analyze samples as required.
- Ensure safe use, handling, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory waste.
- Perform general laboratory routine tasks to support departmental operations.
