Telesales Officer – Digital (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

As a Digital Telesales Officer you will engage customers via phone and digital channels, helping them select suitable financial solutions from Old Mutual’s portfolio of insurance, investment and banking products. The role is focused on building strong relationships, delivering an excellent customer experience and achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with customers following established guidelines to address inquiries and resolve issues.
• Develop deep product knowledge to make personalized recommendations.
• Generate, qualify and pursue leads to meet individual sales targets.
• Initiate and manage interactions through phone calls and digital platforms.
• Maintain a sales pipeline and provide regular updates to team leaders.
• Handle objections, close sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Build and sustain positive relationships to drive repeat business.
• Utilise CRM and other digital tools to record interactions and manage data.
• Promote and upsell additional products during engagements.
• Prepare and submit performance and activity reports.
• Meet or exceed KPIs such as call volume and conversion rates.

Required profile

• Proven success in meeting or exceeding telesales targets.
• Experience in insurance, financial services or digital sales (preferred).
• At least one year of insurance experience and progress toward certifications (e.g., ACII, COP) is preferred.
• Diploma or degree in a business‑related field (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Business Administration).
• Goal‑oriented with a track record of achieving sales results.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Windows‑based applications, especially MS Office.
• Experience using CRM systems.
