Telesales Representative – Nairobi (Ruaraka)

About the role

The Telesales Representative will drive sales by contacting existing and prospective customers over the phone, presenting product offerings, and converting inquiries into confirmed orders. The role is based on‑site in Nairobi and requires strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers daily to generate sales opportunities and convert inquiries into orders.
• Prepare and follow up accurate quotations, turning approved quotes into sales orders.
• Maintain and grow long‑term customer relationships, including reactivating dormant accounts.
• Process orders in the ERP system, verifying product codes, quantities, pricing and discounts.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Dispatch to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, returns and exchanges professionally.
• Follow up overdue invoices and support collections in coordination with Finance.
• Record all interactions and sales activities in the ERP system and produce regular sales reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Customer Service or a related field.
• Proven telesales experience with a record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Proficiency with Tally ERP or similar ERP/CRM software.
• Ability to quickly learn product details and convey benefits to customers.
