Test Center Manager – Nairobi

About the role

Test Center Manager needed to lead daily operations at a secure, customer‑focused testing centre in Nairobi, ensuring candidates receive a professional testing experience while upholding strict examination, security and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, train, schedule, coach and support test centre staff.
• Maintain a secure testing environment and protect confidential candidate and exam information.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service and resolve candidate questions or concerns.
• Oversee daily centre operations including test preparation, records, supplies, audits, payroll/timecard review and facility upkeep.
• Communicate operational issues and updates with management, staff, vendors and building contacts.
• Coordinate with technical support and perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with Pearson VUE policies, procedures, quality standards and security best practices.

Required profile

• Customer service experience; testing‑environment experience preferred.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, coaching or training experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, scheduling, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail.
• Sound judgment, integrity and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Ability to use standard office equipment.
• Completion of Test Administrator certification and annual recertification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, lift up to 20 lb and escort candidates.
