Transport Coordinator

About the role

AGL is hiring a Transport Coordinator for its Mombasa office, responsible for coordinating transport operations, allocating trucks, checking vehicle compliance, managing transport documentation, maintaining loading reports and supporting cargo planning. The role is full time, middle level and requires on-site work.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport operations, truck allocations, loading schedules and customs transit documentation, and follow up on departures, transit progress and delivery status
• Liaise with transporters on availability, loading times and requirements, and escalate delays and truck shortages to the Transport Manager
• Prepare T812, Exit and T1 documents accurately and on time, maintain customs compliance and work with clearance teams on documentation queries
• Maintain transporter records, monitor performance and loading compliance, and follow up on incidents and corrective actions
• Provide shipment and departure updates to internal teams and customers, and handle transport-related queries
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly loading and transport reports, and record allocations, departures and movements
• Identify improvements to allocation, documentation and reporting processes and support operational controls

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Studies, Transport and Logistics, or a related field
• At least 2 years' relevant experience; experience in transport coordination or clearing and forwarding is required
• Working knowledge of KRA, KPA, URA transit procedures and ASYCUDA operations

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
• Transport coordination and documentation
