Truck Loader - Nairobi, Mombasa, Kitui, Eldoret and Kisumu

About the role

Q-Sourcing, a manpower management solutions firm operating across East Africa, is recruiting truck loaders on behalf of its client. The position covers Nairobi, Mombasa, Kitui, Eldoret and Kisumu, and involves loading and unloading goods onto and from delivery trucks safely, efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Loading packaged shipments onto shipping trucks and verifying and counting packages before loading
• Operating hand trucks to load individual packages
• Loading outgoing shipments and transporting them to customer premises
• Recording changes to scheduled shipments
• Carrying out safety checks and vehicle inspections
• Helping the driver verify shipping route schedules and checking orders for accuracy before shipping
• General warehouse maintenance

Required profile

• Form 4 or above
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in delivery driving, preferably in an FMCG or logistics environment
• Ability to lift and carry heavy goods and load/unload products
• Familiarity with local routes and areas
• Punctual, deadline-oriented, with a positive attitude and attention to detail

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
• Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and paperwork
• Preferred: previous FMCG experience and good understanding of warehousing and inventory management
