Head of Entity, Logistics Kenya Cluster

About the role

Pacific International Lines (PIL), a global shipping company headquartered in Singapore, is looking for an experienced person to lead its logistics operations across the Kenya Cluster. The role is central to establishing, managing and growing logistics services in the region, with a focus on operational excellence and strategic business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead logistics operations across the Kenya Cluster in line with PIL's strategic objectives.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding and contract logistics.
• Oversee freight forwarding activities so goods move efficiently and cost-effectively by air, sea and land.
• Develop and manage contract logistics services, including warehousing, distribution and value-added services.
• Manage cross-border logistics while complying with local and regional regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors and authorities.
• Implement supply chain best practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs and raise service quality.
• Design and implement integrated multimodal solutions combining land, sea and air freight.
• Ensure P&L performance meets targets, managing costs and maximising profitability.
• Build, manage and mentor a high-performing team.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of senior-level experience in logistics, with strong expertise in freight forwarding and contract logistics.
• Deep knowledge of logistics services in Kenya and the wider East African region.
• Proven ability to lead teams and make decisions.
• Established network with service providers, regulators and customers.
• Strong customer focus, problem-solving, financial acumen (managing P&L), emotional intelligence and communication skills.
