Universal Banker – Drive Branch Growth

About the role

The Universal Banker is responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience while driving branch business growth and profitability. The role combines sales, cross‑selling of retail products, and strict adherence to KYC/AML compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement branch strategic initiatives to increase new business and wallet share from existing customers.
• Maintain deep knowledge of all retail and business banking products to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with Direct Sales, Asset Finance, CIB, and Bancassurance teams to maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
• Conduct market intelligence to identify new segments, customer trends, and regulatory changes.
• Plan and execute marketing approaches for new business and nurture existing relationships.
• Ensure timely onboarding of new accounts and loan processing while meeting defined TAT standards.
• Monitor and manage portfolio risks in line with the bank’s appetite.
• Uphold internal controls, KYC/AML processes, and operational risk requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, preferably in Business, Commerce or Management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in banking with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Familiarity with a range of banking products such as checking accounts, savings accounts, loans and credit cards.
