Voting Systems QA Test Technician

About the role
The QA Test Technician supports the testing of Hart Voting systems, working under the guidance of an Engineer. This role involves hands‑on testing of ballot scanning, printing, and electronic voting processes to ensure system reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high‑volume scanning of paper ballots.
- Execute voting operations on audio and electronic ballots.
- Print ballots, conduct inspections, and verify quality.
- Create and read election media devices using specialized computer applications.
- Log and report test results in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Assist in setting up elections and entering large data sets into various applications.
- Observe system behavior, document errors, and provide detailed feedback.
- Collaborate closely with engineering team members and communicate findings effectively.
- Support miscellaneous testing tasks as needed.
Required profile
- Basic computer and email proficiency.
- Ability to operate a touch‑screen interface.
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
