Waiter / Food & Beverage Service Attendant (Somalia)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Waiter / Food & Beverage Service Attendant to join our restaurant team operating in Somalia. The role involves delivering high‑quality service to guests, handling orders accurately, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort them to tables, present menus and explain daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders, communicate dietary requirements and allergies to the kitchen.
• Serve meals and drinks following proper sequence, maintain correct table settings and handle tray service safely.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including tea, coffee and fresh juices.
• Present bills, process cash, mobile‑money or card payments, and reconcile sales at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, service stations and adhere to food‑safety standards.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, assist colleagues during busy periods and participate in briefings.
• Set up the restaurant before service, stock side stations and ensure all service equipment is clean.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with at least 12 months experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Ability to handle cash and mobile‑money transactions accurately.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Commitment to hygiene, food‑safety and cleanliness standards.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
