Waiter / Waitress – Full‑time Hospitality Role

About the role

The restaurant is seeking enthusiastic wait staff to join its front‑of‑house team in Nairobi’s Upper Hill area. This full‑time position involves delivering friendly, efficient service to guests and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, present menus, explain specials and answer queries.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly, check on guests during service and address additional needs.
• Clear and reset tables quickly for the next guests.
• Process bills and payments following company procedures.
• Prepare dining areas before service and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and support teammates during busy periods.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, Hotel Management or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• Professional appearance and strong personal hygiene.
• Ability to handle guest complaints politely and escalate when necessary.

Required skills

• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Accurate order taking and cash handling.
• Teamwork and collaboration with kitchen and bar staff.
