Warehouse Assistant

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Warehouse Assistant in Lungalunga within the FMCG industry. The role covers loading and unloading goods, storing stock, picking and packing orders, and keeping the warehouse tidy and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently from trucks and delivery vehicles, handling products carefully to minimise damage.
• Move, arrange and store stock in designated locations, keeping the warehouse organised and space-efficient.
• Pick products accurately according to customer, distributor or dispatch orders.
• Pack and prepare orders, ensuring goods are properly packaged and labelled for timely dispatch.
• Count and verify stock regularly, reporting shortages, excesses, damaged or expired goods to the supervisor.
• Assist with stocktaking, inventory checks and reconciliation, and with deliveries by supporting drivers and delivery teams.
• Sort, label, repack and arrange products following product-handling and stock rotation procedures.
• Keep the warehouse and loading areas clean and hazard-free, and follow health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and warehouse duties.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking and counting stock.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures, good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, disciplined and hardworking, able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
