Warehouse Supervisor (SEZ)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Kenya is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor (SEZ) based in Nairobi, reporting to the Warehouse Controller. The role covers day-to-day warehouse operations, safety and security compliance, documentation, staff supervision and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Operations: allocate equipment, warehouse space and personnel according to the warehouse manager's plan; run daily operations/toolbox meetings and spot checks against SOPs; coordinate inbound, storage and outbound shipments; ensure correct stacking and storage; perform monthly stock takes; issue gate passes and delivery notes; prepare manual goods receipt and dispatch notes.
• Safety: comply with QHSE regulations and security procedures, and carry out daily compliance checks.
• Documentation: make sure staff archive documents correctly and on time; counter sign stack cards, tally sheets and stock take sheets; maintain a catalogue of items with dimensions.
• Reporting: provide reports as required by the warehouse manager and clients, and process receiving, discrepancy and damage reports.
• Personnel: supervise permanent and casual staff so they perform their duties correctly.
• Other: keep the warehouse clean and the cleaning roster up to date, carry out delegated tasks, help develop budgets and control costs, and handle complaints about shipments of equipment and stock.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in logistics or supply chain management.
• 2 years of experience in supply chain, with a specific focus on warehousing.
