2026 Teaching Internship – Secondary Teachers

About the role

Nova Pioneer Tatu International offers a three‑month unpaid teaching internship starting September 2026. The programme is open to current students or recent graduates of teaching colleges who wish to experience inquiry‑based secondary education or PE/Swimming coaching in an innovative African school network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure environment for children.
• Plan and deliver daily activities aligned with curriculum and lesson plans.
• Supply a variety of learning materials and supervise their use.
• Instruct and monitor students in the proper handling of equipment to prevent injuries.
• Organise games and activities that promote physical, mental and social development.
• Prepare classrooms and outdoor spaces for creative play and motor‑skill activities.
• Observe, evaluate and report each child’s progress to school leaders and parents.
• Maintain records of student development and adapt teaching methods for individuals and groups.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a teaching college or university.
• Passion for 21st‑century, inquiry‑based learning.
• Willingness to volunteer unpaid for a three‑month period.
• Ability to work safely with children and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
