Accountant (2 Vacancies)

About the role

LED Power Technologies EA K LTD is looking for two diligent and detail-oriented accountants to join its accounting team. The successful candidates will handle daily accounting tasks, keep financial records accurately and support the company's financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports and ensure compliance with government tax regulations.
• Process accounts receivable and payable and manage day-to-day accounting operations.
• Analyse financial performance and suggest improvements for cost control.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly, resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements.
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow management.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory payments (PAYE, VAT, SHA, NSSF).
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit and regulatory compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a reputable organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and accounting principles.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• MS Excel.
