Accounts / Audits Intern

About the role

Crystal Growth Auditors CPAK is looking for an Accounts / Audits Intern in Nairobi to gain hands-on experience in accounting while supporting its Audit, Accounting and Tax departments. The internship lasts 3 months and is subject to an internship allowance or stipend; a possible employment offer follows successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts and transactions
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare and file financial documents such as invoices and vouchers
• Assist in financial reporting, tax compliance and audit support
• Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Other duties may be assigned from time to time

Required profile

• At least completed CPA (finalist) or currently finalizing the CPA advanced level
• Bachelor's degree in B.Com Finance/Accounting or a related business degree is an added advantage
• Prior work experience is not compulsory but is an advantage
• High integrity and ethical practice

Required skills

• Proficiency in spreadsheets and other MS Office applications
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
