Adjunct HVACR Instructor – Online (Multiple States)

About the role

Ferris State University’s College of Engineering and Technology seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach HVACR courses online. In this part‑time, semester‑by‑semester role you will deliver hands‑on, career‑oriented instruction to students preparing for HVACR careers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver 100 % online coursework covering residential and commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration, controls, electrical fundamentals and related topics.
• Provide practical, hands‑on learning experiences, labs and assessments that reflect real‑world industry practices.
• Evaluate student performance, grade assignments and offer timely feedback.
• Stay current with emerging HVACR technologies and industry standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more HVACR disciplines (installation, service, maintenance, controls, etc.).
• Ability to teach effectively in an online environment.
• Residency in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas or Wisconsin for the duration of employment.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
