Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Manager

About the role

Amentum seeks an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Manager to lead operations, maintenance, and personnel for AGE assets supporting a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures equipment readiness, safety compliance, and effective team performance in a remote OCONUS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise inspection, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and modification of AGE systems to maintain operational readiness.
• Lead AGE personnel, develop schedules and work plans for preventive and corrective maintenance, and monitor performance against deadlines and safety standards.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints; ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain detailed equipment records, provide training and mentorship, and act as liaison with other departments, contractors, and leadership.

Required profile

• High school diploma (higher education preferred) and at least five years of supervisory experience in aviation maintenance focused on AGE.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas and security clearances.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Mechanical principles, pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration, heating systems.
• Gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines.
• Electrical and electronic pressure systems.
• Interpretation of wiring and schematic diagrams, manuals, blueprints, and maintenance publications.
• Hazardous waste handling and environmental compliance.
