AI Engineer - LLMs and Automation

About the role

An experienced AI Engineer is sought to design, develop, deploy and optimise artificial intelligence solutions based on large language models (LLMs), intelligent agents and process automation. The role builds scalable, secure and reliable AI applications using Python, RAG, vector databases, LLM APIs and cloud platforms to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy LLM-powered applications (GPT, Claude, open-source models) and AI agents and automated workflows.
• Build and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Integrate AI with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and document management systems.
• Implement intelligent automation for document processing, content generation and information analysis.
• Design evaluation and testing frameworks for AI outputs, and implement security, privacy and data protection controls.
• Maintain and optimise AI solutions in production, monitor emerging tools and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders, document solutions and train end users.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software engineering or development.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience deploying LLM-powered applications in production.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in the legal industry or professional services preferred.

Required skills

• Strong Python; LLM APIs such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude or open-source models.
• Prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases and AI agent frameworks.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and REST API integration.
• SQL and relational databases; CI/CD, deployment and maintenance.
• Data security and privacy knowledge.
• Preferred: TypeScript, JavaScript, Salesforce, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint integration.
