Air Logistics Perishable Operational Care Specialist

About the role

Join the Freight Forwarding team at Kuehne+Nagel and play a key role in transporting medicines, toys, and critical machine parts worldwide. You will ensure accurate documentation, timely hand‑overs, and smooth coordination with airlines and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Cut and process Master Air Waybills (MAWBs) and House Air Waybills (HAWBs), ensuring they are linked, closed before cut‑off, and dispatched correctly.
• Verify and tally documents against weight dockets, report discrepancies, and maintain accurate e‑filing.
• Act as the primary contact for airlines during the shift, handling calls and resolving issues.
• Use Business Process Automation (BPA) tools, Salog, and Kaplog to manage shipment workflows and reporting.
• Prepare and send document handling reports to KN AMS (Amsterdam) and clients.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
• Diploma in clearing and forwarding or related studies.
• Minimum two years’ experience in clearing & forwarding or logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet operational deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salog, Kaplog, and Business Process Automation (BPA) tools.
• Good knowledge of airfreight operations and logistics processes.
• Computer literacy and ability to type/fill Eur1 forms, GSPs, and Certificates of Origin.
