AQA Officer - Strategic Management

About the role

Zetech University is hiring a full-time AQA Officer in strategic management, based in Westlands, Nairobi. The role supports and enhances the quality of academic programmes and services by ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and evaluating academic programmes and courses against institutional quality standards.
• Support the AQA Manager in regular reviews of academic processes and outcomes.
• Analyse data on student performance, feedback and academic quality.
• Ensure programmes comply with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Help prepare documentation for accreditation processes and quality audits.
• Support academic staff on quality assurance, including training on assessment and course delivery best practices.
• Maintain records of quality assurance activities such as meeting notes, reports and audit results.
• Organise meetings or workshops with academic staff on quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education Management, Curriculum Development, Total Quality Management, Management Science, Operations Management or a related field from an accredited university; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
• At least three years of experience in teaching, academic administration or student customer service.
• Professional qualification or other qualification in Quality Management.
• Membership in a relevant professional body.
• Registered or registrable for a PhD.

Required skills

• Good understanding of the Universities Act, CUE standards, TIVETA and other regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with curriculum development from diploma to PhD level, and with Learning Outcomes and Competence-Based (CBC) approaches.
• Understanding of pedagogical and andragogical approaches and their monitoring and evaluation.
• Working knowledge of online and face-to-face teaching and examination systems, teaching taxonomies and rubric building.
