Area Sales Manager - Mombasa Region

About the role

An established diagnostics, wellness and healthcare business, recruited by its client, is hiring an Area Sales Manager for the Mombasa region. The role drives revenue growth, business development, customer acquisition and retention across multiple customer segments and channels, and turns market insights into commercial action.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual sales revenue targets for the assigned territory
• Develop and execute business development initiatives to acquire and onboard new clients
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to support retention and revenue growth
• Identify prospective clients, manage the sales process through to closure and drive conversion metrics
• Support marketing campaigns, promotions and customer engagement activities online and offline
• Organise customer engagement activities and stakeholder sessions
• Conduct market research and turn customer and competitor insights into sales initiatives and offerings
• Support digital and telehealth initiatives where applicable
• Deliver retail and commercial targets across B2C, B2B and other channels, and act on underperformance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field; a background in or understanding of healthcare is desirable
• Minimum 5 years' experience in sales and marketing, preferably in healthcare, retail or a related commercial environment
• Track record of exceeding sales targets and proven ability to manage the full sales cycle
• Strong negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills
