Assembly Technician

About the role

The Assembly Technician will construct small parts and components to create finished products according to client or supervisor specifications. The role involves ensuring product efficiency, quality, and making adjustments as needed within an automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
• Read and interpret technical documents and drawings to understand product requirements.
• Assemble products and components using hand and power tools, including sub‑systems up to vehicle‑level builds.
• Inspect auto parts and fully assembled vehicles for defects and verify corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure on‑time delivery and perform quality inspections and tests.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and complete daily documentation and progress reports.
• Keep the shop clean, safe, and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Work with engineers to develop and document processes, applying problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Automotive or a related field.
• Minimum 2 + years experience in an automotive industry or related field.
• Knowledge of welding best practices and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
• Automotive technical knowledge, including body assembly/disassembly/adjustment.
