Assistant Electrical Engineer - Construction

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, a manpower management firm operating across East Africa, is recruiting on behalf of its client an Assistant Electrical Engineer to work in Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in road construction and public building construction projects, and excellent communication skills with authorities and teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design and execution of road construction and public building construction projects.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop project plans and schedules.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Certified and registered engineer with EBK.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction projects, including road construction and government public building projects with a total floor area over 7,000 m2, including fire-fighting works.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• MS Project for scheduling and project management.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for design and drafting.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
