Assistant II – Monitoring Evaluation & Learning

About the role

Under the guidance of the Senior Field Coordinator, the Assistant II will join the NMP team to support the day‑to‑day implementation of ChildFund’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) system. The role focuses on data collection, entry, analysis and the use of information to improve programme decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, collate and enter field data into the CAMEL management information system.
• Analyse data and produce reports that inform programme improvement and decision‑making.
• Conduct quality‑assurance checks on field‑based implementation, accountability and learning processes.
• Support timely delivery of project activities, monitor milestones, manage budgets and assist with reporting.
• Adapt working hours and duties during major humanitarian emergencies as required.
• Assist country office and global programme initiatives when needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the Senior Field Coordinator.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Nairobi and adapt to variable hours during emergencies.
• Readiness to undergo vetting checks, including criminal records and disclosure checks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the CAMEL management information system.
• Data collection, data entry and basic data analysis.
