About the role
The Suttontown Primary School is seeking a dynamic Assistant Principal to lead the Effective Learners & Wellbeing agenda. This Leader Band B‑2 position runs from 20 July 2026 to 11 December 2026 and may be extended for an additional 12 months.
Key responsibilities
- Drive initiatives that improve student learning outcomes and wellbeing.
- Support the Principal in strategic planning, staff development, and day‑to‑day school operations.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on progress against school improvement goals.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a school setting.
- Commitment to fostering high expectations for all learners.
- Ability to work flexibly, including part‑time or flexible arrangements if needed.
Required skills
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Data‑informed decision‑making to guide improvement strategies.
