Assistant Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

A growing hospitality establishment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Supervisor to support the Supervisor and management team in coordinating daily restaurant operations. The successful candidate will play a hands‑on role in supporting staff, maintaining service standards and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising restaurant staff during daily operations.
• Support coordination between the service and kitchen teams.
• Ensure customers receive friendly and efficient service.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming and conduct.
• Assist with managing customer complaints and service concerns.
• Support restaurant cleanliness, hygiene and general presentation.
• Help monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Support implementation of operational procedures and service standards.
• Monitor service flow and help resolve operational challenges.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, food‑service or hospitality environment.
• Good customer‑service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work effectively with a team.
• Organised, reliable and hands‑on.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
• Positive attitude towards customers and colleagues.
