Associate Manager, Demand Planning

About the role

The Associate Manager, Demand Planning for East Africa will lead the end‑to‑end demand planning process across the cluster, delivering accurate forecasts that support growth, inventory optimisation and financial targets. This full‑time hybrid role works closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance and Regional Planning teams to drive data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the rolling 24‑month demand forecast at market, customer and product level.
• Lead the monthly Demand Review, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and S&OP cycles.
• Analyse historical sales, market intelligence, promotions and new product launches to generate demand assumptions.
• Identify and communicate demand risks and opportunities, recommending mitigation actions.
• Partner with Supply Planning to translate demand signals into supply requirements and support inventory optimisation.
• Monitor forecast performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in demand planning, forecasting or S&OP/IBP processes, preferably in FMCG or a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualisation.
• Familiarity with demand planning systems such as Blue Yonder or similar platforms.
