Audit Associate

About the role

Innovus Risk & Advisory LLP, part of Innovus Group and exclusive partner of WONE Global in Kenya, is looking for an Audit Associate to join its audit team in the Mombasa office. The role assists in delivering audit assignments for clients, and the ideal candidate has sound knowledge of accounting and audit procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out audits following the audit plan under the supervision of the Audit Supervisor.
• Work as an effective team member, completing tasks within the time budgeted and reporting engagement progress daily to the Audit Supervisor.
• Ensure review notes on assignments are resolved within the agreed time frame.
• Identify engagement issues and communicate them to the Audit Supervisor as they arise.
• Document work to the firm's standards.
• Develop technical skills on the job and through formal training, and comply with the firm's CPD requirements.
• Build working relationships with the client.
• Carry out other tasks delegated from time to time.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a business-related course.
• Completed at least Part 2 of ACCA or CPA.
• At least 1 year of audit or accounting work experience in a similar position.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of accounting and audit procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Team player, fast learner and good communication skills.
