Audit Semi-Senior

About the role

Innovus Risk & Advisory LLP, part of Innovus Group and exclusive partner of WONE Global in Kenya, is looking for a proactive Audit Semi-Senior to join its Mombasa office. The role supports the planning and delivery of high-quality audit engagements for the firm's clients. The successful candidate will report to the Audit Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out audits following the audit plan, under the supervision of the Audit Supervisor.
• Support the development of audit plans, including risk assessment and a tailored audit approach.
• Ensure review notes on assignments are resolved within the agreed time frame.
• Identify engagement issues and communicate them to the Audit Supervisor as they arise.
• Document work to the firm's standards and ensure compliance with ISAs.
• Review working papers, supervise and coach junior team members.
• Contribute to efficient audit budgeting, time management and timely completion of assignments.
• Respond to client correspondence and queries in a timely manner and build working relationships with clients.
• Develop technical skills on the job and through formal training, and comply with the firm's CPD requirements.
• Carry out any other tasks delegated from time to time.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a business-related course.
• Qualified CPA(K) or ACCA.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of audit work experience in a similar position.
• Sound knowledge of accounting and audit procedures, with hands-on experience in testing and documenting audit evidence, identifying and escalating audit risks, and contributing to client recommendations that strengthen internal controls and financial reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office.
• Fluency in English.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
