Automotive Workshop Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Workshop Supervisor to lead our Westlands workshop. You will oversee daily operations, ensure high‑quality repairs and manage a team of technicians to deliver vehicles on time.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate jobs to technicians based on skill, urgency and bay availability.
• Monitor workshop schedule, conduct in‑progress and final quality checks, and ensure timely vehicle delivery.
• Coordinate with parts store to secure parts availability and maintain 5S cleanliness and tool accountability.
• Supervise mechanics, apprentices and wash‑bay staff, conduct briefings, and handle HR matters.
• Diagnose complex faults, guide technicians, sign off warranty jobs and manage rework investigations.
• Liaise with service advisors, explain technical issues to customers, and control labour hours and consumable usage.
• Maintain workshop reports and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and OEM safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a lead supervisory role within an automotive workshop.
• Strong knowledge of workshop operations, parts logistics and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and service advisors.
