Bakery Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Bakery Attendant to join our supermarket bakery in Westlands, Nairobi. This full‑time position involves preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries and other bakery items while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing dough, batter and other bakery ingredients according to standard recipes.
• Operate ovens and baking equipment to produce bread, pastries and related products.
• Ensure finished goods meet quality, taste and appearance specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area, tools and equipment throughout the shift.
• Follow food safety regulations and proper handling of raw materials.
• Store raw materials and finished products correctly to prevent spoilage.
• Support daily production schedules and meet output targets, especially during peak hours.

Required profile

• At least 6 months experience in a commercial kitchen or supermarket bakery.
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately.
• Attention to detail and consistency in work.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment.
