Bancassurance Sales Representative (Mombasa)

About the role

SBM Bank is seeking a motivated Bancassurance Sales Representative to join its Mombasa team. The role focuses on driving insurance product sales through the bank’s branches, delivering comprehensive consultations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of insurance products across bank branches and customer segments.
• Provide customers with detailed insurance consultations and tailored solutions.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse results and adjust strategies to meet targets.
• Collaborate with management to design and execute marketing campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with the Insurance Act, SLA agreements and internal policies.
• Support regional teams to guarantee timely insurance business processing.
• Increase insurance penetration within the existing customer database and focus on customer retention.
• Collect premiums according to procedures, prevent revenue leakage and manage premium refunds.
• Assist customers with credit arrangements such as IPF or credit cards.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to 12 months of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with bank partners, agents and customers.
• In‑depth understanding of health insurance products, coverage options and exclusions.
• Ability to train and support bank staff and agents on insurance sales.
• Adaptability to changing market conditions and customer preferences.
• High ethical standards and a customer‑focused mindset.
