About the role
The Banking Investigations Team Leader will provide strategic leadership and oversight of investigations into branch operations, customer accounts, fraud, operational losses, staff misconduct, and regulatory breaches within Equity Bank Kenya.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and supervise investigations into unauthorized transactions, account takeovers, forged instruments, dormant account fraud, cash losses, collusion, and breaches of operational controls.
- Ensure timely assignment, coordination, monitoring, and closure of investigations in line with approved service level agreements and procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in criminology, commerce, banking and finance, law, accounting or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), CPA, ACAMS or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in forensic investigations, fraud risk management, banking operations or law enforcement, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
