Barista – Eldoret Airport

About the role

Join Java House Africa Ltd as a Barista at the Eldoret Airport outlet, delivering high‑quality coffee and beverage experiences to travelers and local customers. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring consistent service and adherence to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages.
• Interact with customers at various touch points, providing excellent service.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during production.
• Assist the lead Barista with stock monitoring, daily stock‑take, and replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and fully functional counter and pastry case.
• Handle cash, manage shift float, and ensure accurate cash‑handling procedures.
• Process take‑away and eat‑in orders promptly according to the order docket.
• Control waste, manage change availability, and close the counter with accurate variance reporting.
• Operate and maintain barista equipment and perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required skills

• In‑house barista training and service techniques.
• Familiarity with the Vuka POS system for order processing and stock management.
